This picture pretty much sums up my night. I played live in front of only like 30 people ( was one of the first sets ) and it was my ambient/experimental music I’ve been making… and they loved it. The entire room was full of cheers and claps and I honestly still cannot comprehend it. I did it. I made music that speaks to people, everyone was telling me they need to get music from me (recommendations) and that they couldn’t believe it. They all saw what I saw, felt what I felt, and even had their own interpretations, but they liked it. I honestly can’t even contain my excitement, I found something I love to do and it turns out other people love it also… I have so many plans. I want to thank Kevin Pepper for everything he’s done along with everyone else, this seriously has made my life.

EDIT: that’s me in the bathrobe in the middle. and helmet.

figured it’d be easier to reblog this post I made to show you where the hell I’ve been, I’ve been trying to work on my own music and keep busy with others for a while, the time I put in was so worth it.

“Shift” - Fennesz

At long last, after a several week delay, Fennesz’s new EP Seven Stars is now available. I actually bought mine digitally from Boomkat (pretty rare for me) for about £3, so it’s not too expensive.

This is a remarkably short EP, coming in at slightly less than 20 minutes, but he packs a lot in. It’s very easy listening; not warm but still quite inviting and immersive. It almost, almost, feels as though he was playing a bit safe. Not that it detracts any from the quality of the production, because it is excellent. I would definitely recommend listening if you’re a fan of any of his work.
